FG cancels Immigration recruitment exercise

Perhaps in an attempt to make amends for the deaths of job seekers at the recently conducted Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) recruitment exercise, the federal government has cancelled the screening.
Varying reports have been released about the number of casualties but it is believed that at least 16 people lost their lives during the selection process.
The exercise, which was conducted all around the country, has been nullified by the government.
This development was revealed by the Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, who told journalists that a panel had been set up to conduct another recruitment process.
The minister is said to have disclosed this after the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting.
