TRAGIC: Man jumps to his death from 4 storey building (GRAPHIC IMAGE)

A young man on Thursday morning committed suicide by jumping from the third floor of a four storey building in Ghana.
The deceased was identified by his sister-inlaw as Nana Osei was from Amoaman near Barekese and was believed to be in his late 20s.
According to reports, the incident occurred at Adum in Kumasi, the victim was said to have just returned from the funeral of one Isaac Osei at Asafo and appeared tipsy shortly before the incident.

He jumped from the balcony of the building which houses the Subin branch of the National Health Insurance office, a church and several stores at about 9:35am, an eyewitness, Benjamin Mireku told DAILY GUIDE at the scene.
He disclosed that the victim hit one Dauda Alhassan, a refuse collector, on his way down before landing on the ground and forcing shocked shoppers to flee in panic.
He died instantly after he jumped from the top floor of the building when people were busy doing their business in the boisterous area.
The refuse collector sustained some injuries and was later taken to the hospital for treatment.
The police crime scene investigators were at the scene to carry out preliminary investigations into the incident.
They later carried away the body and deposited it at a morgue.
Police spokesman Stg. Godwin Ahianyo described it as a tragic incident, indicating that the death could be very stressful for many people.
According to him, police investigations would focus on how the man came to fall from the building to determine whether it was suicide, accident or murder.
The refuse collector, Dauda Alhassan, told DAILY GUIDE he was co-operating with police investigators and his thoughts were with the dead man's family.
It was learnt that the victim, an unemployed man, was the son of Kwame Kwakye aka Apigy, the Subin Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)
