I have been in a relationship with my man for about 18 months. When I first met him, I never thought anything would come off it. I typically brushed him aside and never gave him too much thought as he is very physically different than what I am usually attracted to in a man. With time, I slowly realized that his character and personality is everything I have ever hoped, dreamed and fantasized about. No kidding. I decided to give us a chance. Two female students of the Osun State University (UniOsun) were allegedly raped at the weekend while several male students were brutalised by hoodlums who stormed their hostels located outside the Osogbo Main Campus of the university. The hoodlums numbering about 12 were said to have invaded the students area situated at Oke Baale, Suzzy Hotel area of Osogbo, Sunday night and carted away the students' belongings while male students who did not possess valuable items were beaten severely. Sources said the hoodlums who were armed with machetes and other dangerous weapons carried out their ungodly acts simultaneously in about three different hostels in the area. The Kaduna State Police Command yesterday confirmed the recovery of a two-month-old baby, Sulaiman Adamu, stolen from his mother by a customer. Public relations officer of the command, Aminu Lawal disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kaduna. He said the baby's mother, Marwa Adamu, had earlier reported the case at the police divisional headquarters in Rigachukwu on January 31. According to Lawan, the mother had complained that a woman, Hassana Mohammed, had run away with the child from Mararaban Jos in Igabi local government area of the state. He said the child was recovered on February 16 when the woman who took him away called her friends on phone and they immediately alerted the police. The police spokesperson said the woman was encouraged to return and on arrival in Mararaban Jos, was arrested for child theft. He said she would soon be prosecuted. AFederal High Court in Abuja refused to grant an ex-parte motion brought before it by the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, asking that he be reinstatement as the governor of Nigeria's apex bank. Sanusi had filed the motion on February 24, 2014, before the court, seeking an order of interlocutory injunction restraining the defendants from obstructing, disturbing, stopping or preventing him in any manner whatsoever, from performing the functions as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and enjoying in full, the statutory powers and privileges attached to the office. According to reports, QuestionMark Entertainment boss, Kelvin Luciano, has filed a N20m suit against Kcee's Five Star Music Label. The suit was filed against singer Harrysong for allegedly evading his contract with QuestionMark, and against Five Star Music for entering into a new contract with Harry Song despite knowing that he was yet to serve out his contract with his former label. According to a statement signed by Luciano, 'QuestionMark Entertainment was into separate exclusive music recording, artist management and music publishing contracts with HarrySong in 2009. The obligations of parties to the said contracts have neither lapsed nor have they been fulfilled.' However, reports reveal that the contracts, along with all attendant rights and liabilities of the parties thereto, therefore still subsist since the contract was supposed to last for five years. Suspected members of Boko Haram terrorist sect on Wednesday night attacked a number of villages in Madagali and Michika LGAs in Adamawa State.Chairman of Madagali LGA, Maina Ularamu, confirmed the incident, saying the gunmen first attacked Kirchiga Village before entering Shuwa town. Sporadical shooting started at about 8 p.m.; the casualties' figure is yet to be determined. Local residents have fled the area.
